Office-bearers elected

MARDAN: The Mardan Electronic Media and Photojournalists Association elected new office-bearers for the year 2015-16.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, Khan Bacha of the Dunya News and Shah Hussain Tanha of the Khyber News were elected as president and general secretary, respectively.
Tariq Ahmed was elected as senior vice-president, Safdar Ali Saim, vice-president, Jalbal Khattak, joint secretary, Malik Javed, finance secretary and Sohail Ahmed as press secretary of the association.
Speaking at a meeting, the newly elected president Khan Bacha said that he would strive hard to solve the problems the community was facing.The participants also prayed for the departed soul of senior journalist Shahjehan Khan, who recently passed away.
