PESHAWR: The Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) on Saturday launched a pilot project of street level garbage collection.
Addressing participants of a walk after launching the pilot project in Gulbahar, WSSP Zonal Manager Ashraf Qadir said that without the active support and facilitation of the public, achieving 100 percent cleanliness was impossible. Ashraf Qadir said that under the project, the residents of the streets would collect their solid waste at an already agreed point, wherefrom the staff and vehicles of WSSP would collect it, which would make easy the process of solid waste collection.
