PESHAWAR: A representative delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf office-bearers from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) called on Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and apprised him of the problems of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other issues.
Led by Member Provincial Assembly Zarin Zia the delegation comprised of Dr Dost Mohammad Mehsud, PTI Fata convener Iqbal Afridi, deputy convener Dr Khalil, district president, Tank Mohammad Daud and Jehanzeb Barki from Wazirstan Agency. PTI provincial general secretary, Khalid Masood, was also present on the occasion.
Taking cognizance of the complaint about non-payment of the compensation amount of Rs300 million announced by provincial government to majority of Bara IDPs due to delay in thumb impression process of NADRA, Pervez Khattak issued directives to secretary relief and director general of PDMA for prompt action to that effect.
Similarly, he assured that scholarships for the students belonging to Fata, especially IDPs students, in higher education would also be arranged.
