PESHAWAR: Former Member National Assembly (MNA) Malik Baz Gul Afridi on Wednesday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif was the only leader who has the capability to steer the country out of the prevailing crises.

Kicking off his election campaign during a public meeting held near here, Malik Baz Gul Afridi, who is contesting upcoming election from NA-47 constituency, said that due to public service, the PML-N has become the most popular party of the country.

He said that the former MNA Zaffar Baig Bettani elected from NA-47 but he did nothing for the welfare of the people of the constituency during his five-year tenure. A large number of people and elders from the NA-47 comprising Frontier Region (FR) Peshawar, FR Kohat, FR Bannu, FR Lakki Marwat, FR Tank and FR Dera Ismail Khan attended the meeting, while Abdur Rasheed Afridi and Malik Gul Sharif also addressed on the occasion.

On this occasion, the elders assured their full support to Baz Gul Afridi in the upcoming election.

Baz Gul Afridi said, “I will leave no stone unturned to provide basic facilities of life including clean drinking water, electricity, natural gas, construction of roads, educational institutions, hospitals and creating job opportunities for the youth of the constituency.”

He urged the electorate to cast their votes to candidates who they think would serve them after their victory in the election. He said the development funds would be equally distributed among the elders to develop their respective areas.
