For heat-stricken Islooites, especially those who have kept fast and have to step out for work, the Met Office has good news: another round of wet spell is to start tonight (Sunday) or next morning (Monday).
According to Rashid Bilal of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, there will be more monsoon rainfall in upper parts of Punjab and Khyber-Pakh-tun-khwa this weekend. The fresh rainy spell will last five days.
“Rains coupled with strong winds and thunders will fall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions in Punjab province, Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar and Kohat divisions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night or Monday morning,” he said.
