The president of Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam has said teachers are bestowed upon with divine responsibility of reformation of society and maintenance of national integration.
Addressing the concluding session of the three-day annual teachers orientation course, organised by the education committee of the Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, he said that teachers should therefore make sincere efforts to perform this sacred duty by inculcating Islamic moral values and patriotism in their pupils and they should play a purposeful role in promoting peace, prosperity and ideology of our nationhood.
He said that teachers should ignite zest for knowledge and creative thinking in the minds of their pupils and pay equal attention to arranging curricular and co-curricular activities for students to help them develop a harmonious personality within the moral and ideological framework of society.
The concluding session of the orientation course was preceded by a number of academic sessions in which prominent scholars and educationists shared their knowledge and experience with the participants.
Professor Mrs Nargis Razzaq conducted a session for making teaching of mathematics interesting for students.
Professor Mrs Naeem Fatima Alvi emphasised on the importance of co-curricular activities and utilisation of library in supplementing curricular activities.
Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmed initiated a discussion on making the prescribed courses of study interesting by relating the contents of lessons with available examples from daily life.
Dr. Inamur Rehman used the facility of multimedia to highlight the importance of the model of teachers for maintaining emotional and moral discipline among students.
Some participants demonstrated the activity-oriented methodology of imparting education based on involvement of pupils in the learning process.
In the end, Mian Siddique Akbar distributed certificates of appreciation among the participants for their active participation and positive contribution.
