The Industrial Area and Golra police stations have arrested 50 suspicious persons, including six Afghan nationals, during search operations in their respective jurisdictions, the police spokesman said on Friday.
The teams of the Industrial Area and Golra police stations, headed by ASP Khalil Ahmed and ASP (Saddar) Rana Tahir respectively, including SHO Golra Inspector Irshad Ahmed and SHO Industrial Area Inspector Muhammad Shafique, conducted special checking in sectors G-13, G-10/4, I-8/3, I-8/4 and Faizabad.
Various houses, under-construction buildings, inns and slums were checked and 50 suspects, including six Afghan nationals, were apprehended. Investigation is under way from the nabbed suspects, as they could not produce any authentic document for their identification.
Meanwhile, police arrested ten outlaws from various localities of the city and recovered 1.450 kilograms of hashish, heroin, four pistols and one 12-bore gun from their possession.
While a police team conducted raid on an apartment in Sector I-10 and arrested 6 Africans in possession of half a kilogram of heroin powder, the police spokesman said.
