LAHORE
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Hassan Mohiyuddin Qadri has said that the so-called mega projects of the Punjab government have erected huge walls which divided Lahore into different parts just like the Berlin wall in Germany.
Addressing different rallies in connection with Local Government elections, he said that the government had failed to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Lahore and the poor were being deprived of their property which they had owned for many decades. The poor man’s child, be he from Lahore or Rajanpur, cannot get education. He said it was time that the residents of Lahore rise and come out against corrupt rulers and the culprits of the Model Town incident.
The chief coordinator of the election campaign of PAT Major (r) Mohammad Saeed and candidates Shahbaz Anwer Butt, Amjad Shaifie, Arif Chaudhry also addressed the election rallies.
Dr Hassan Mohiyuddin Qadri said that PAT was the poor man’s party and was the real symbol of change and by the Grace of Almighty Allah they would achieve their goal one day with the help of the poor. He said the corrupt rulers were destined to end up in jail sooner or later and the time was not far when this would happen as the rulers could not make a fool of the public for long.
