Forty-one female students completed one-year commercial courses at Govt Technical Training Institute for Women, Township, under Germany Pakistan Training Initiative (GPATI) Programme.
According to a press release, the programme was launched last year in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Tevta Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh while addressing a meeting in this connection on Monday said four courses including two technical (Electrician and Machinist) of two years duration started at Govt Technical Training Institute, Mughalpura and two commercial (Customer Service Officer and Sales Officer) of one-year duration were offered at Govt Technical Training Institute for Women, Township. He added jobs had already been offered to many of the GPATI training course pass-outs. Tevta chairperson said the assessment and examination of the trainees was conducted by an assessment committee comprising members from industry, trade testing board and institute concerned.
