The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Monday observed the World Milk Day.
A drama based on a real story was also presented to create awareness about all aspects of natural milk, its nutritional value and various milk products.
A milk contest was also arranged to mark the day. According to a press release, President Pakistan Medical Association Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami chaired a seminar while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and others attended the seminar.
VC Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha also stressed the importance of milk.
He lauded the role of Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami to uplift the poultry sector through awareness among people to eradicate the mis-concept about the poultry meat.
Later Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha led the walk in which, Dr Muhammad Nasir, Ms Saima, Fahad Marel and a large number of students from various departments of UVAS, faculty members participated.
At the end Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha gave away shield to Dr Ashraf Nizami.
