The hot, dry and sunny weather is expected in the provincial metropolis on Sunday (today) with the temperature likely to reach upto 40 degrees Celsius.
A fresh western disturbance is expected to approach upper parts of the country on Sunday (evening/night) and likely to move north-eastward in next 24 to 36 hours. This weather system however is not likely to cause any change in the weather of the city.
The maximum temperature in the city on Saturday was 41 degree Celsius while the minimum was 23 degree Celsius. The maximum in the country was 47 degree Celsius at Sibbi.
In the next 24 hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershowers associated with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during Sunday (night). Very hot weather conditions would continue in Sindh, Balochistan, south/central Punjab and lower KP.
