LAHORE
AN anti-terrorism court Thursday awarded life imprisonment to three persons, including a woman on the charges of abducting a youth and demanding ransom.
The court has convicted Waheed, Sajid and one Iqra Bibi.
The convicts had abducted Naseer Ahmed’s son Waqas in 2011 from the area of Shahkot city. They had demanded Rs1.5 million as ransom from Naseer Ahmed. However, Shahkot police managed to arrest abductors and rescued Waqas. Later, police submitted challan before the said court declaring all three accused guilty.
On Thursday, the court after hearing the final arguments of both parties convicted Waheed, Sajid and Iqra Bibi for life.
