A CLOTH merchant was killed by some unidentified suspect at G-I Market in the Johar Town police area on Saturday while a 34-year-old woman was killed at her home in the Raiwind police limits.

 

The victim trader was identified as Hassan Tahir, a resident of Sandha. He had a shop in G-I Market, Johar Town. On the day of the incident, a man visited his shop and asked about a man named Nazir. The victim expressed his ignorance about the said person, upon which, the suspect left the shop.

 

After some time, he returned and opened two straight fires on the victim. As a result, he died instantly.

 

Shopkeepers gathered on the spot after hearing gunshot and informed police. Police have collected evidence, shifted the body to morgue and registered a case.

 

Separately, some unidentified suspects barged into the house of Safia Bibi, wife of Khalid, a resident of Moza Committee Ghar and killed her with several strikes of a knife. She was alone at home at the time of the incident. Police have collected evidence, removed the body to morgue and registered a case.

 

A 45-year-old man was found murdered on the ground floor of a plaza in mysterious circumstances in the Mozang police area on Saturday. The victim was identified as Asghar Butt, a resident of Mozang. He had an office of a newspaper in the building.

 

A police official said that he had received an SMS from some girl who had asked him that she would visit his office at 6am on Saturday. Police received a Rescue 15 call at around 11am about the body of the victim lying at the ground floor of the plaza.

 

The victim had suffered bullet wounds in his head and chest.

 

FOUND DEAD: A father of four was found dead in the Shahdara Town police jurisdiction on Saturday. The victim was identified as Sheikh Ahmad Hassan, a resident of Karim Park. He had gone missing four days back.

 

On Saturday, his body was found near the graveyard of Railway Phatak. A police official said that the deceased was a drug addict and the drugs overdose could be the cause of his death.
