While presiding over a meeting at his office to review ongoing anti-polio campaign in eight union councils of the city, Commissioner Karachi was informed, with given circumstances the polio teams would be able to give drops to 200,000 children rather than the aimed 220,000 however the remaining would be approached in the next round of campaign.
According to a notification, it was decided in the meeting, the health department, town health officers and police would continue to undertake concerted efforts for effective anti-polio drive campaign and the cooperation of religious leaders would also be sought to make the drive successful.
On the occasion, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said the polio drive requires maximum intra-departmental coordination to achieve desired outcome.
