Managing Director Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Wednesday inked MoUs with representatives of five non-profit organisations and distributed cheques to 13 partners of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The five leading organisations are working in education and health sectors, namely Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro Quaid-e-Awam University of Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centres in Gwadar and Mirpurkhas, and Al Hijrah Schools Ziarat.
After signing the MoUs, Managing Director SSGC Khalid Rahman said sustainability was a driving force in making a marked difference in the lives of the marginalised communities.
A consensus was reached on focusing on encouraging schemes for the provision of clean drinking water and bio mass conversion process to useful energy.
The SSGC's head of corporate communications gave a presentation to the audience about the CSR initiatives in the company.
