SUKKUR: Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said on Sunday that Saudi Arabia has very good relations with Pakistan and the country had helped Pakistan in difficult times.
He told media persons that Pakistan should help Saudi Arabia in resolving the Yemen crisis though talks. He urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to call a meeting of the political parties to discuss the Yemen issue.
He also urged the government to ensure logistics as well as tap diplomatic channels to ensure safe return of Pakistanis stranded in Yemen. He said that operation in Karachi was initiated on the demand of the all the political parties and it was not against any political party.
He said that the JUI-F was not against the elimination of the terrorists, but was in favour of the protection of Madaris. He said that Madaris were not involved in any act of promoting extremism. Uprooting extremism and terrorism would pave the way for development and progress in the country, he added.
