ISLAMABAD: The Director of Pakistan Meteorological Department, Azmat Hayyat, on Monday said that a new spell of high intensity rain would start from Thursday which would continue for at least two to three days.
Talking to a news channel, he said the magnitude of the current spell was likely to start reducing from Monday night in north Balochistan and in upper central parts of the country. However, it would continue with the same intensity in Kashmir. The weather in south Punjab and north Balochistan would be clear on Tuesday, he predicted.
The official said the present rain spell would continue in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with snowfall over the hills during the next two days. However, the twin cities have no risk of flood in ‘Nala Lai’.
