KARACHI: The “government is afraid of those involved in the Baldia Town incident that is why the political party involved is not being named”, said Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq. He said the joint investigation team probing the Baldia Town fire has held a political party responsible for the incident. He said no political party could kill so many people.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Sirajul Haq also demanded of the government to reveal the inside story of the Baldia own incident and announce compensation for the families of victims. The JI chief stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif now has to undergo a test of his capability and impartiality. He said terrorist is a terrorist belonging to whosoever party, caste or race. He said terrorism is a crime and anyone who commits terrorism should be punished.
“The investigation report was prepared by the federal government and state institutions, not by journalists and political parties,” he said.
He said that election of local bodies should be priority of the government because the division of power will make the government stronger. He said the LB polls should be held so that the problems of Karachi could be resolved.
Sirajul Haq said that the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf can solve their disputes through dialogues. He said judicial commission should have to be formed. He said there is need to resolve the issues in country politically. He said unfortunately the government has not succeeded in resolving problems in the country. He said even no permanent foreign minister has been appointed by the government. He said that the government has not evolved foreign policy.
He said that Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah had announced a compensation of Rs 1 million for each victim but has not provided the aid to the victims’ families as yet. He said so far judicial commission has not been formed for the probe into the Shikarpur terrorist incident.
He said the target killing incidents are continued in Karachi, adding that no killer of innocent people has been arrested. He said the JI has started movement for Islamic and prosperous Pakistan.
He said the economic and political terrorism is continued in the country. He said the massacre of innocent people is continued in held Kashmir by the Indian forces.
