MANSEHRA: The Wildlife Department has seized two preserved exotic animals during a raid at a hotel in Naran area of Kaghan valley and imposed a fine of Rs400,000 on the owner of the hotel. “We have recovered two animal trophies, which were smuggled from Gilgit-Baltistan to the scenic valley and fined the hotelier Rs400,000,” said Khursheed Abbasi, the sub-divisional officer wildlife, while speaking to media on Wednesday. On a tip-off, divisional officer wildlife Mansehra Rehmatullah Khan Marwat constituted a raiding team led by Abbasi, who seized the exotic pieces. He said both pieces had been smuggled from Sakardu to Naran via Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road.Abbasi said that both the pieces, having a great value in local and international markets, were seized under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife and Biodiversity Act 2015.
