KARACHI: Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Abdul Wahid Aresar, passed away at a private hospital on Sunday. He was 65.
He was undergoing treatment of kidney problems at a private hospital in Karachi for some time and passed away early on Sunday morning.Aresar was born on October 11, 1949. He played a key role in Sindhi nationalist politics. He became the JSQM chief after unifying all the separatist parties together.
The JSQM chief was the only nationalist leader to have mended fences with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).He also wrote many books on politics, history and other subjects that were well received on national level.
