The chief adviser, who is currently visiting Pakistan, briefed the Ulema and journalists on situation of insurgence in Yemen.
The guests on the occasion advised Pakistan government not show any reluctance in sending troops to Saudi Arabia for defence of the holy land. Pakistan should rather take the leading role and make available for Saudi Arabia due morale, political and military support. Speaking on the occasion Mufti-e-Azam Pakistan, Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani said there are clear orders of Allah in the Holy Quran for all Muslims to wage war against rebels. Obeying those divine orders, the Saudi government is tackling with the rebels heading towards the holy land.

Vice Chancellor and Administrator of Jamia Uloomul Islamia, Binnori Town, Dr Abdul Razzaq Iskandar said he was an aged man but was wholeheartedly willing to join the holy war and vowed not to lag behind. It is not wise to discuss the situation without having any understanding and knowledge of the history, he said. It is a historical fact that Yemen is part of Arabia and its defence is the responsibility of the Government of Saudi Arabia.
Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan (Noorani), Dr Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair said the Saudi ambassador deserves commends for taking practical step through arranging a get-together today for conveying the message of unity. He said every single Pakistani stands with Saudi Arabia and none would step back at all and at any stage.
Renowned scholar Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, while citing from the Quran and Hadith, said that considering Yemen not part of the Arabian peninsula was a reflection of negative thinking and an open contempt of Hadith, which tells about meetings of delegations from Najran, Jizan and Al-Aseer with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One can have ideological difference with the Saudi government but there is a consensus on the defence of Kingdom. There is nothing more important than Makkah and Madinah for Muslims. He assured Dr Abdul Aziz bin Abdulllah Al-Amar that each and every Pakistani is ready to lay down his life to defend Saudi Arabia. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Asadullah Bhutto said that hearts of Pakistani and Saudi people beat in unison. Mufti Muhammad Naeem said presence of people from all schools of thought here is a proof that we all are united to defend Harmain Shrifain.

While addressing the guests, he said that relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran had not affected in the aftermath of Yemen crisis. He said that Houthis are rebels and any support to them will actually be considered as attack on the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia. This is neither a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran nor a sectarian conflict but a war against rebels by two countries. It is joint war of Yemen and Saudi Arabia being fought against Houthi rebels, he added.
