ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has changed its working hours at its Principal Seat in the federal capital as well as at its Branch Registry of Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta respectively.
According to an office order issued by the apex court on Tuesday, as precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed under Rule 1, Order II of the Supreme Court Rules, 1980, changed the working hours of the apex court.
As per order, the working hours of the apex court at Principal Seat in Islamabad and at all Registries from Monday to Thursday and Saturday will be from 08: 30 am to 02:00 pm. Similarly, on Friday the working hours of the apex court will be from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. The said timings will come into force with immediate effect and will continue till Tuesday, 7th April, 2020 (date included), unless modified or withdrawn earlier,” says the office order.
