This refers to the news report, ‘Demand for free Balochistan can be withdrawn: Brahamdagh’ (August 27). The new stance taken by the scion of the late Nawab Akbar Bugti offering to lay down arms and join the negotiating table in an effort to end the long insurgency in Balochistan has rekindled hopes for peace in the province.
Let us see whether our leadership sticks to old policies which proved to be of no avail or opts to seize the moment.
