Nasir to face Amir in FMC final

KARACHI: Nasir Iqbal is to face Amir Atlas in the final of the $15,000 FMC International Squash Championship on Monday (today) at the PSA Squash Complex, Lahore.
In the semi-finals held on Sunday, top seed Nasir defeated third seed Farhan Zaman 11-6, 11-6, 11-8 in 34 minutes and second seed Aamir Atlas overpowered Farhan Mehboob 11-7, 10-12, 12-10, 11-9 in 55 minutes.
In the quarter-finals, Nasir beat fifth seed Tayyab Aslam 13-11, 11-2, 11-9 in 46 minutes and third seed Farhan Zaman thrashed eighth seed Saqib Yousaf 11-8, 11-7, 12-10 in 32 minutes.
Unseeded Farhan Mehboob stunned fourth seed Danish Atlas 11-7, 11-3, 14-12 in 28 minutes. Second seed Aamir Atlas won against qualifier Israr Ahmed 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 7-11, 11-2 in 41 minutes.
