Pesco CEO assumes charge

PESHAWAR: Anwarul Haq Yousafzai, the new chief executive officer of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) took charge of his assignment on Tuesday.
An official communiqué stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had approved the appointment of Anwarul Haq Yousafzai as Pesco’s chief executive officer.The Board of Directors of Pesco had earlier recommended him for the office.
Three candidates including Anwarul Haq Yousafzai, who was until now the director finance of Pesco, were shortlisted for the job.Anwarul Haq Yousafzai, who belongs to Swabi district, has replaced Hasan Fazil as the CEO of Pesco.
