Landmark Baig Tower inaugurated in Karachi

A multi-storey office block Baig Tower was inaugurated on Sharea Faisal by S M Muneer, CEO of the TDAP, Iftikhar Ali Malik, chairman of UBG, Abdul Rauf Alam, president of the FPCCI, and Syed Asif Haider Shah,  the commissioner of Karachi. 

Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Ishtiaq Baig of the Baig Group called it a momentous occasion. The ceremony was attended by the consuls general of China, Russia and Switzerland, senior diplomats, business leaders and dignitaries of the city.

Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig in his speech said that the Baig Group had diversified interests and was at advance stage to put up a 50MW wind power project in Gharo, Sindh. The total cost of the project is $110 million (Rs11.66 billion) with foreign collaboration, he said. 

Vice Chairman Baig Group Ishtiaq Baig attributed the group’s new investments to better law and order in the country, particularly in Karachi, due to the ongoing operation. 

Business leaders and FPCCI vice presidents Hanif Gohar, Arshad Farooq, Zulfiqar Sheikh, Senator Haseeb Khan and Abdul Sami Khan congratulated the Baig brothers on the inauguration of Baig Tower and welcomed the new investments for economic revival.
