PU team meets Hassaan
LAHORE
Punjab University’s Academic Staff Association (PU ASA) office-bearers along with orange train affectee teachers met Punjab government representative Khawaja Ahmad Hassaan here on Saturday.
According to a press release, the PU delegation was led by ASA President Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain and President Punjab University Housing Society Dr Shahid Kamal which discussed all concerns and demands vis-à-vis 35 plots and two houses in the PU Housing Society.
Khawaja Hassaan Ahmad gave assurance that total payments against the houses and land would be paid to all PU teachers during the next week. He said the government would not acquire PU land until complete payment to affectees.

Meanwhile, it awarded a PhD degree to Sumera Batool d/o Ghulam Qamber Naqvi in the subject of Communication Studies after approval of her thesis entitled “Comparative Analysis of Representation of Religious Minorities in Pakistani and Indian Print Media (1990-2010)”.
