LAHORE

PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain has said sealing of the Muslim League House and the offices of other political parties is not a good step.

Talking to media here on Tuesday, he said the NAB would launch operation later but the government had already started it in Islamabad. He said the CDA issued notices to all foreign embassies to transfer their offices out of residential areas last week while similar notices were issued to restaurants as well. He said in the residential areas, 60 per cent houses were rented out and were being brought into category of commercial use.

Likewise, he added, lawyers and doctors had also reserved rooms in their houses for sittings in the evening. Ch Shujaat Hussain said if the offices had been sealed because of political activities, then residences of most of the federal ministers in the residential areas should also be sealed due to political activities. He said currently a lot of confusion prevails in Islamabad, but in the end, the government would be forced to close the operation itself and everything would be all right. Replying to a question, Ch Shujaat said Nawaz Sharif and the Army Chief had reached Tehran after completing their visit to Saudi Arabia, which was a good effort.

The Muslims should have resolved this issue right from the first day through talks, why it was delayed so much, he questioned. Replying a question regarding Gen (retd) Musharraf, he said all cases against him would end gradually and he would be acquitted honourably.
