Gizri cops remanded

A local court on Tuesday granted physical remand of two policemen accused of killing a boy in an alleged encounter, till January 21.
Mudasar Nazeer and Altaf Hamza had opened fire on, Shehryar, on January 17 in the area of the Gizri police station.
The boy was said to have passed by the police officials who had signaled him to stop, was shot at and injured after he was returning back to them. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The policemen were said to have attempted to cover the killings by claiming that he was killed in an encounter. The policemen were arrested and produced in court on Tuesday.
