PPP questions closure of Mala Jabba scam probe by NAB
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Thursday questioned the closure of investigation into the Mala Jabba scam and said that it proved that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was playing a role of facilitator in corruption of the government.
“It was not surprising that NAB has stopped the investigations into Malam Jabba scam and chairman NAB should give pride of performance award for his historic service by giving clean chit to Imran Khan,” said Central Information Secretary PPP Faisal Karim Kundi while reacting over NAB decision to stop the investigation.
Kundi said there were stories of corruption of Prime Minister Imran Khan's government, but NAB had turned a deaf ear to it. “The scam of wheat, sugar and Rawalpindi Ring Road were before everyone, but NAB turned a blind eye and deaf ear to those,” he added. He said the drug prices increase scam also happened during the PTI government as well as Billion Tree Tsunami scam.
