LAHORE: Fast bowler Hasan Ali on Wednesday became the third-fastest Pakistani to take 50 wickets in T20 Internationals.
He reached the milestone in 38 matches. Former pacer Umar Gul has been the fastest — he reached the 50 wickets mark in 36 matches.
Hasan reached the milestone when he dismissed West Indian opener Evin Lewis in the third over of the first T20I in Bridgetown.
He is the ninth Pakistani bowler to reach the milestone. The first eight were Shahid Afridi, Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanvir and Imad Wasim.
Hasan is the tenth fastest in the world to reach the 50 wicket milestone.
