Video of man tying knot with goat goes viral

SUKKUR: In an unusual video doing the rounds on the social media platforms, a youth is depicted getting married with a goat in Digri area of district Mirpurkhas. A Hindu groom, identified as Ashok Bhel was seen in the viral video performing wedding rituals with a goat in Digri area of district Mirpurkhas.

In the viral video, the so-called groom could be seen taking rounds with the goat as a wedding ritual, while his parents were also present at the ceremony. Later, the police took the groom and Pandit Baghat Papu Bhel into custody.

Pandit Baghat told the police that the widow or divorced woman was not allowed to marry a bachelor in their faith. Therefore, Ashok had to marry the goat before marrying with a girl of his choice.
