Security at polling stations during AJK elections reviewed
LAHORE: The CCPO visited the polling stations in Lahore on the occasion of general elections of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the security arrangements and implementation of corona SOPs.
He checked the arrangements at various polling stations, including at Ichhra and Gulberg, met the presiding officers and inquired about the security arrangements from them. A total of 25 polling stations were set up across the City in connection with the Kashmir elections. The vehicles of six DSPs, 25 SHOs, 12 Elites Force, 14 Dolphin Squad were on patrol. A total of 850 police officers and jawans, including eight special squads, were deployed at the polling stations. In terms of sensitivity, polling stations were divided into A, B and C categories. At least 40 personnel were deployed at A category polling stations, 25 at B category and 15 at C category polling stations.
