Entry of NCP vehicles into Lower Kohistan banned
MANSEHRA: The Lower Kohistan police have restricted the entry of non-custom paid vehicles into neighbouring Upper Kohistan and onwards Gilgit-Baltistan through Karakoram Highway following the Dasu bus explosion.
“The security of entire district is tightened and the NCP vehicles on the way to Upper Kohistan and Gilgit-Baltistan from Malakand division are not allowed to proceed ahead through KKH following the Dasu bus incident,” Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon, the district police officer, told reporters on Friday.
He said that all vehicles coming from across the country and Malakand division were being checked at the Chakai police post in Lower Kohistan and only those cleared of all requirements and security were allowed to proceed to Upper Kohistan and the GB.
“The NCP vehicles entering into our district from Malakand are impounded and passengers are allowed to return back to their respective destinations since the Dasu bus incident,” Jadoon said.
The police officer said that the tourists who were on the way to GB were allowed ahead after a thorough check and availability of vaccination certificates.“The DIG Hazara Mirvais Niaz through a circular had made vaccination certificates mandatory for the tourists and we have strictly been following his order,” Jadoon said.
