LAHORE : The deadline to submit an online application for a six-week online course “Teachers’ Pocket: TESOL Methodology” under the OPEN Cubed Pakistan Program 2021 is July 23.

The Regional English Language Office (RELO) at the US Embassy Islamabad, under the Online Professional English Network Pakistan Program administered by Evolution introduced the OPEN Cubed Pakistan Program for selected alumni.

According to a press release, the goals of the programme are to enable selected alumni to master the Canvas platform for online language teaching and learn how to load an existing open course into their Canvas account and understand how to modify it to meet the needs of a specific audience.

They will also learn how to deliver a course to a group of teachers or learners, either entirely online or as a blended experience and how to continually improve their own teacher training capabilities through careful analysis of feedback, reflection, and further planning.

Therefore, selected alumni would learn to design and deliver their own course in Canvas for Pakistani English teachers with the guidance of American specialists Lynn Zimmerman and Mary Boehmer.

Uzma Khizer, assistant professor at Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa Degree College Lahore, designed her first ever online professional development course in Pakistan on: Teacher’s Pocket: TESOL Methodology with the help of course facilitators Nazish Kanwal and M Arsalan Siddique for English teachers along with the special assistance of Evolution CEO Sidra Niaz and coordinator Dua Mazhar.
