Kidnapping incidents protested

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amn Jirga Friday arranged a protest rally here against the growing incidents of kidnapping for ransom and interest-based economic system in the country.

The rally started from Hashtnagri Chowk and the participants of the procession under the leadership of Syed Kamal Shah reached the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly building where they staged a protest.

The speakers on the occasion condemned the interest-based economic system. They said that interest in private capacity and through banks were against the teachings of Islam.

They also expressed reservations over the increasing incidents of kidnappings for ransom, extortions and sale of minor girls in the name of marriages. They declared to continue playing role for ending the evil practices.

They said that the movement would be extended to other parts of the province and awareness would be created among the masses against the social ills.
