Islamabad: The summer vacation for students in Islamabad's government schools and colleges will begin on July 18 and last until August 1.
This was announced by the Federal Directorate of Education through a notification.
According to it, the new academic session will begin on August 2.
The summer break duration has been shortened this year due to the pandemic-induced school closures during the last one year.
Menawhile, Punjab Minister for Education Murad Raas, in a tweet, said that the schools in the province would go on summer vacation from July 1 to August 1.
“[During vacation], my request to all the children and their families is to follow SOPs issued by the government,” the education minister said.
