Housing reforms facilitate trade, says minister

LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed on Sunday said that the Housing Department has introduced departmental reforms based on e-governance to facilitate businesses in the province.

Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said that approval of maps of residential or commercial projects by development authorities, completion construction certificates, NOC for change in land use or permits for private housing societies and other facilities were being provided under one roof.

He said that in order to facilitate the housing sector, builders and developers, the procedure of providing NOCs in the development authorities had been simplified. Following the success of modern one-window system for getting NOC, an online platform had been launched while one-window system had been fully digitized. Thirty days for approval and completion of construction certificate, 45 days for NOC or change of land use and 60 days to 75 days have been fixed for permit of residential societies.

The minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision was service to the people, welfare and development. In view of the directive of the PM, all the matters have been fully digitized in the Housing Department, he concluded.

Cops vaccination: Around 19,815 officers aged 50 to 60 years and 25,016 officers aged 40 to 50 years have been vaccinated against corona in Punjab police.

As per DIG Welfare, the process of corona vaccination of officers and personnel in the age group of 30-40 years is also in full swing and so far 46,210 officers and personnel in the age group of 30-40 years have been vaccinated. Collectively, 91,041 officers aged more than 30 years have been vaccinated and the remaining force and staff are being vaccinated without interruption.

He said that besides police in all the districts, corona vaccination was also being carried out in Punjab Constabulary, Investigation Punjab, Special Branch, CTD, Traffic, SPU, PHP and other field formations.
