Two brothers booked for fraudulently using Honda logo

The Federal Investigation Agency’s Corporate Crime Circle (CCC) has lodged a case against two brothers for allegedly using the name of a private international company and causing losses to the exchequer.

The spokesman for the Sindh FIA said that acting on a complaint of M/s Honda Japan made through their distributor M/s Atlas Honda Pakistan Ltd., the FIA Corporate Crime Circle conducted a raid on M/s Javed Engineering and M/s Al Rehman & Co, situated in the Generators Market, New Challi, over charges that the both companies were illegally indulged in infringing the copyright of the actual copyright owner, M/s Honda Japan.

They were allegedly violating, reproducing, replica, counterfeiting, title and artistic work (label design)/logo name of "HONDA" without the consent, knowledge and authority or prior permission of actual copyright owner i.e. M/s Honda Japan.

The brothers, Hassan and Saif, are the owners of the abovementioned companies involved in the business of selling infringed Honda generators.

Twenty infringed Honda generators have been seized from the possession of the brothers, and an FIR has been lodged under sections 56, 66 and 66-A of the Copyright

Ordinance, 1962, has been registered against them.
