Hurtful comment

Rape is not the result of how someone dresses; it’s a power crime. Unfortunately, according to our prime minister, women are somehow responsible for getting sexually harassed. He thinks that since men aren’t ‘robots’, they are likely to be enticed by how women dress. In Pakistan, women in abaya dresses, men in shalwar kameez and children in simple clothes get abused. Imran Khan needs to understand that his statement has hurt the sentiments of Pakistani women, and they deserve a long-overdue apology. Imran Khan is our leader whose words have great influence on a large number of people. He should be careful about his words.
