Afshan Latif arrested on a year-old FIR, bail cancelled

LAHORE: Punjab Police arrested Afshan Latif, former superintendent Kashana Shelter Home and her husband on June 19 in connection with an FIR registered a year ago on June 16, 2020 but not disclosed until her arrest two days ago. All this while she kept protesting against excesses at the shelter home of which she is a witness. The police have taken her and husband’s phone in their custody. Their bail was cancelled Monday.
