Sami, Huzaifa in final

ISLAMABAD: Sami Zeb and Huzaifa Khan made it to the final in the under-18 category of the Second PTF Development Series Junior National Ranking Tennis at the PTF Complex courts Saturday.

Huzaifa Khan cleaned up Shaeel Durab 6-0, 6-0 but Sami Zeb had to struggle hard to beat Talha Khan 7-5, 6-3. Some exciting tennis was on display in the first set that saw Sami finally breaking through to go 1-0 up. In the second, however, Sami was in complete command as he won it easily. Sami thus has a chance of winning two titles in two weeks as he has already won the first tournament in the category.

Amna Ali Qayum won the women under-18 title, beating Sheeza Sajid 7-5, 6-4 in the final. Amna won the hard-fought extended first set and then also had to work hard to finish the match, winning the second in face of tough resistance.

Boys singles 14 and under finals: Hamza Roman bt Asad Zaman 2-4, 4-0, 4-0.

Girls singles 14 and under finals: Zunaisha Noor bt Fatima Ali Raja 4-1, 4-1.

Boys/girls singles 12 and under semi-finals: Amir Mazari bt Nabeel Ali Qayum 4-1, 4-1; Hamza Roman bt Abdul Basit 4-0, 4-2.

Boys/girls doubles 12 and under finals: Amir Mazari / Hamza Roman bt Nabeel Ali Qayum / Abdur
