LAHORE:Search for Justice, National Commission for Human Rights and Child Protection & Welfare Bureau jointly agreed to expedite the process of comprehensive child protection policy and strategies to ensure the provision of essential services such as education, health, identity and protection to street children. Street children’s issues were discussed during a consultative meeting on legislative and policy reforms organised with the support of Consortium for Street Children. Legal expert on child rights Syed Miqdad Mehdi suggested establishment of a coordination committee to ensure the relevant departments get consolidated messages.
