Woman tortured to death

LAHORE:A 70-year old woman was tortured to death by unidentified suspects in Mozang on Wednesday.The victim identified as Jamila Bibi had been living in a house in Kot Abdullah Shah all alone. The unidentified suspects according to initial investigations barged into her house and locked it from inside. They subjected her to severe torture that claimed her life. The suspects also left with valuables from the house. Police removed the body to morgue and collected forensic evidences. Police said that the nature of the crime would be ascertained after further investigations.

MAN SHOT DEAD: A 30-year old man Anjum Maseeh, who reached courts for hearing, was shot dead outside Model Town katchery by unidentified suspects on Wednesday. The victim reportedly had just reached outside the katchery in the morning and was about to cross road when suspects intercepted and shot at him. He received at least four bullet injuries. He was shifted to a hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police said that they were investigating the matter.

5 ARRESTED: Lahore Police have arrested five suspects involved in three incidents of murders. This was revealed by DIG Investigations Lahore Shariq Jamal. Jamal said that a victim Bashir Ahmad was found murdered in bushes in Chung. Police after investigations arrested three suspects identified as Khawar, Rizwan and Ishaq. They were drug addicts and had murdered the victim to buy drugs after looting his money. In the second incident, a citizen M Naeem was shot dead in Nishter Colony by a suspect M Ali. Reportedly, Ali and Naeem had a dispute over cable network.

In the third incident, a man was murdered by his step son in Green Town. The victim Nadeem had married a divorcee woman after she converted to Islam. Her son Hanook Maseeh alias Jugnu shot his step father dead when he was leaving for home after offering Fajr prayer in mosque.

BOOKED: Over a dozen unidentified suspects have been booked for ransacking a cafe in Johar Town. Over a dozen of suspects riding bikes carrying clubs and arms reached a cafe and broke window panes, threw upside down tables and chairs. The suspects also tortured PTI youth wing leader Gulraiz Iqbal.
