One killed, 2 injured over land dispute in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: A teenager was killed and his father and cousin sustained injuries when their rivals attacked them in Serai Koroona in Kheshgi Bala in the district on Wednesday.

Saeedullah, a resident of Serai Koroona in Kheshgi Bala, told the police in injured condition that he along with other family members was present at home when someone knocked at the main gate.

He said that he along with his 19-year old son Haroon Shah went to the gate and as they opened the door Ziaullah, Asadullah and Kashif equipped with arms started quarrelling with them.

In the meantime, he said his nephew Muhammad Jamal also rushed to the spot. He said the accused later opened fire on them, killing his son and injuring him and his nephew seriously.

The police have registered the case and started an investigation. The motive behind the killing was stated to be a land dispute.
