PRA teams to ensure timely submission of collected tax
LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Tuesday constituted monitoring teams of enforcement officers in order to persuade the collection from public sector withholding agents.
Commissioner Enforcement Dr Javed Iqbal Sheikh instructed the Additional Commissioner Ms Misbah Nawaz to ensure timely submission of the collected sales tax on services by the federal and provincial accounting offices by the end of the financial year.
On the instruction she constituted the teams which visited more than 50 government departments in a day and collected information about Punjab Sales Tax on services deducted and to be deposited by these departments during the month of June.
During the monitoring, exercise office of the Accountant General of Punjab and Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) were visited to ensure accurate deduction of tax on services by the federal and provincial accounting offices.
