Basharat lauds CM’s efforts for historic budget

LAHORE: Punjab Law and Cooperatives Minister Raja Basharat while commenting on the provincial budget said that with a development package of Rs560 billion, this is the historic budget of Punjab which is the result of personal efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

He said the government was currently facing financial difficulties due to the corona pandemic, but that such a large development budget was still a commendable initiative in such hard circumstances.

Raja Basharat further said that the budget had paid special attention to the development of every sector including education, health and infrastructure and has proposed measures which would provide direct relief to all the deprived sections. He said that the announcement of increase in salaries and pensions of government employees was a source of satisfaction.
