Nawaz defines PMLN’s narrative: Rana Sana
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Punjab President, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that Nawaz Sharif defines the narrative of the party.
We are not asking anyone to overthrow the government because the government is a wall of sand that will collapse by their own deeds. He said they will not negotiate the electoral reforms with the government but will do so with the Election Commission, said Rana Sana.
Rana Sanaullah also clarified that the PMLN is a democratic party, every decision is made by Nawaz Sharif, who also defines the narrative. He said we are mobiliizing the party at the district level so the narrative of 'respect for the vote' reaches every house.
Addressing a press conference along with Azma Bukhari, Hina Parvez Butt and Rana Arshad at Central Secretariat Model Town, Rana Sanaullah Khan said the PMLN's peaceful struggle would make the country democratic and strong.
Responding to charges by the PPP leadership, Sanaullah said, “the Prime Minister of Raiwind is not the President of Nawabshah. The Prime Minister and the President of Pakistan represent the whole Pakistan. He said PPP is not our target, "let our target be the target, which is the target."
He said that the one-point agenda of all of us is to get rid of the government and the opposition was united on it. He said that they were not married to the PPP. There were disagreements on rallies, long marches and resignations, Sana added. He said that they would work with political parties including PPP to stop anti-people decisions in the budget.
He said that the prime minister claims planting one billion saplings but the people are searching for them. He said, PTI is a government of fraud, lies and propaganda. Imran only tells lies. Imran had said corruption will be eradicated in 90 days, streams of canal and milk will begin to flow all over, one crore jobs will be given, five million houses will be constructed, but instead in two and a half years, the government has made the lives of the poor very difficult by increasing prices of food items and medicine.
The PMLN leader asked whether the price of electricity and petrol would be reduced Rs48 per litre as pledged by Asad Umar and claimed the coming budget will further worsen the plight of the people. He said that the PM keep talking about stopping corruption, whereas Punjab is now witnessing unprecedented levels of corruption. The CM House has become a hotbed of corruption and the DCs are being appointed by paying bribes of Rs2 to 3 crore.
Rana Sanaullah claimed the PTI will flee from their houses in the next general elections and will not be able to campaign because the people will hold them accountable for what they have done. He said the government kept saying that it has to recover Rs3,000 billion rupees from Nawaz Sharif whereas there is no case of recovery against the PMLN supremo. The judge who punished Nawaz Sharif apologised for his sin before his death, he claimed. He said Shahbaz Sharif gave a development program of Rs3,150 billion as the chief minister and there is no claim of a penny of corruption on him. He said the Lahore High Court cleared Shahbaz Sharif in the TT case. On electoral reforms, he said the party would give his opinion to the Electoral Reforms Election Commission, but not to the government."Now is the time to send the government home, not to sit with him," said Rana Sana. He said the PTI government has personalised issues with the Tareen’s group and is needlessly persecuting him.
