31 cases registered against police officers in 2015

The Lahore police registered 31 cases against officers and officials under Section 155-C of the Police Order of 2002 during the year 2015 of which 14 cases were challaned, 11 cases were under investigation and six cases were quashed.

A case against Incharge Investigation Lower Mall police station Inspector Mohammad Shafqat was registered at New Anarkali police station on April 25 for misbehaving a complainant. Police submitted a challan on April 28.

A case against Inspector Arif Hussain and ASI Liaqat was registered at Islampura police station on April 27 for poor investigation and misuse of power. The Police submitted a challan on May 16.

A case against traffic warden Awais Ahmad and Mobeen Farrukh was registered at Shahdara police station on May 15 for misuse of power. Police submitted a challan on October 6.

A case against Driver Constable Mohammad Fiaz was registered at Sarwar Road police station on July 30 as he refused to perform duty with SP Cantt Operations Wing. Police submitted a challan on August 1.   

A case against Constable Mohammad Arif of Haider Compnay Police Line was registered at Racecourse police station on March 16 for wearing a jacket. Police submitted a challan on March 20.   

A case against ASI Khadam Hussain, two Constables Nawaz and Abid and a Driver Constable Naveed was registered at Mughalpura police station on June 30 for torturing some boys. Police submitted a challan on July 1.   

A case against Constable Wajeeh-ul-Hassan was registered at Qila Gujar Singh police station on July 30 as he used to impersonate a police officer and seal the banks on telephon. Police submitted a challan on August 1.   

A case against SHO Faisal Town Inspector Nabi Buksh and SI Amanat Ali was registered at Faisal Town police station on March 12 for showing negligence that resulted in a murder. Police submitted a challan on March 20.

A case against Chowki Incharge ASI Mohammad Ishfaq was registered at Nishtar Colony police station on July 30 for not taking action against persons involved in a firing incident. Police submitted a challan on August 1.

A case against an ASI Iftikhar was registered at North Cantt police station on August 4 for releasing an accused of a drug case. Police submitted a challan on August 6. A case against SI Sultan Mahmood, three constables Shakil Ahmad, Afzal and Naeem and a head constable Busharat was registered at Mustafabad police station on August 26 as they were found guilty in a case (No 397/15) registered at Mustafabad police station under Section CNSA-9/C. Police submitted a challan on August 31. A case against SI Shaukat Ali was registered at Nishtar Colony police station on September 11 for not arresting a murder accused. Police submitted a challan on September 13. A case against Constable Mohammad Sadiq was registered at Model Town police station on September 29 for being absent from duty. Police submitted a challan on October 1.   

Similarly, a case against SHO Shafiqabad Inspector Mustaziz Ahmad Khan, ASI Naeem Azhar, ASI Rana Ejaz of Johar Town police station and Muharrar Ghazanfar Sadiq of Manga Mandi was registered at Shafiqabad police station on May 3 for registering a fake case. The case is under investigation.

A case against Driver Constable Amir Mushtaq was registered at Naulakha police station, a case against Constable Qamar Abbas registered at Defence-C police station, a case against SI Munsha and Muharrar registered at Defence-B police station, a case against SI Khalil and Constable Zahid registered at Lytton Road police station, a case against Constable Driver Mohammad Raheel of CIA  Model Town registered at Model Town police station, a case against former SHO Islampura Inspector Mobeen Butt and SI Mahmood Ali registered at Islampura police station, a case against  Constable Mohammad Raza registered at Nawan Kot police station, a case against SI Mushtaq and 11 Constables registered at Islampura and a case against TASI Imtiaz registered at North Cantt police station and a case against Head Constable Amir Hameed registered at South Cantt police station were under investigation.
