Millennials visit 14 Chinese universities

The Millennium Chinese Language Department (MCLD) team and Director of Roots Millennium Schools Sabina Zakir, RMS Khyber Campus Principal Tehmina Khalid, RMS Principal Rabbea Irfan, Executive Manager Fauzia Khan and AS Level Coordinator Rozina Asif from Millennium Campus, I-9/3, were selected by the wife of the Chinese ambassador, Madam Bao Jiqing, to represent MCLD members as University Guidance Counselors of Pakistan to explore China and its renowned universities, says a press release. 

This opportunity to represent Millennium Chinese Language Department, Islamabad on global scale was granted to RMS management to develop thus strengthen the educational and cultural corridor at the people-to-people level to implement socio-economic agenda and take benefit of their fast-growing friendship in letter and spirit. Millennials visited China’s top notch 14 universities in four major cities such as Urumqi, Chengdu, Shanghai and Beijing. Pakistan University Counselors Group teaming up with 30 delegates from different educational institutions of Pakistan met with academicians, vice chancellors and senior staff to discuss existing and future prospective collaborations across a range of subjects, including engineering and medicine. The delegation discussed existing scholarships and summer camps offer which includes a student exchange program as well.

Millennium Chinese Language Department has been involved in the promotion of Mandarin via its Chinese Language Program across Pakistan. An impressive number of students (5500 and above) are now enrolled in the CRI-Roots Confucius Classroom at Roots Millennium Schools, Islamabad and learning Mandarin from grade 1 till grade 7 by a team of trained Chinese teachers through the support of China Radio International-CRI.
